We are happy to announce the release of Benchmark Factory 8.1, which includes the much anticipated release of a Linux version of the BMF Agent.
This initial release of the Linux version of the BMF Agent allows users to utilize the BMF Agent on Linux machines instead of having the added cost of Windows licensing. This initial release, which is supported on Version 7 (64-bit) of Red Hat, CentOs, and Oracle Linux, is currently limited to only PostgreSQL testing, but stayed tuned for upcoming Beta releases of the Linux Agents for additional supported database such as Oracle, MySQL, and others. You can download the BMF Agent for Linux at https://support.quest.com/download-install-detail/6090810.
This new version of BMF now supports PostgreSQL testing using the PostgreSQL native client instead of only via ODBC.
